Description
At the beginning of the war of WWI (1914-1918), the Germans retiliated violently against civilians of this region, following the resistance encountered in Liège. Pastor Dossogne from Hockai, presented himself as a hostage to protect the people of his village. He was taken to Tiège, and was shot in a meadow by the Germans. Sadly, an order to postpone his execution came too late. This monument was erected in his memory in addition to the cross Halleux.
