Description

This modern church from 1935, in neo-Gothic style, was built to a design by architect Paës from Spa. Originally the clock tower was intended to be on the left side of the choir, but in the end (for reasons of  stability of the small river Soyeureux) the tower was built on the right. Above the portal is a beautiful coloured fresco by the culptor/designer from Spa, Léon Davidson. The baptistery to the left of the entrance, presents itself in the form of a small chapel. In 1935 St. Therese of the child Jesus (1873-1897) was canonized and attracted much donors. It is probably for this reason, that it was chosen as the protector of the new church of Nivezé.
