Description

Back in the days of the feoalism, when this mill was still for common use. During this period each city disposed of a common mill, a common oven, a common press, etc. All the inhabitants at that time went to Croupet du Moulin to grind their grain, over which they had to pay taxes. A tax was paid to the miller, but also to the Prince-Bishop of Liège, owner of the mill. These old mills were then gradually replaced by mills on power or gas. Various factories, including four iron forges, were built near the mill of Sart.
